Doris Merna Ter Beest, 92, of Radcliff, Kentucky died Friday, February 24, 2012.

Merna was born December 22, 1919, the daughter of John H. and Kate Stelsel Rens. Merna graduated from Rosendale High School. On September 16, 1943 she married James J. Ter Beest, Sr. The couple farmed near Brandon until 1968 at which time they moved to Fond du Lac. Merna was employed by Wells Manufacturing in Fond du lac for 15 years. In 2003 Merna moved to the Louisville, KY area.

Merna is survived by a son, James J. Ter Beest, Jr. and his wife, Peg Fields-Ter Beest of Elizabethtown, KY; two grandchildren, James J. Ter Beest III and Julia M. Ter Beest; five step-grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Benjamin Riggs, Jacob Riggs, Ashley Reed, and Aaron Fields; a sister, Donna Vande Zande of Waupun; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Laurene Rens, and Cal and Donna Ter Beest.

Merna was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Ter Beest, Sr.; a daughter, Mary Jane Ter Beest; and two brothers, Milton Rens and Delmar Rens.

Services:

Funeral services for Merna Ter Beest will be held Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. John White officiating.

Burial:

Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.

Visitation:

Friends and relatives of Merna Ter Beest may call on the family on Wednesday at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home from noon until the time of service.

The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home of Waupun and staff are serving the family.
