    To Floyd’s Family:
Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of Floyd. Many years ago I was the babysitter for your family. My name at that time was Smith. We lived on F just a few miles down the road. I oftened wondered what became of the DeVries family and John and Sadie who lived on the farm up on the hill. We all road the bus together too! I lived in Manitowoc for 22 years and moved back to the Beaver Dam area 7 years ago. Again I am very sorry for your loss….. Mary Gloe

To Floyd’s Family, my sincere sympathy for your loss. Floyd was one of the 1st officers I met when I started at Dodge 7 years ago. I was new to visiting the seg unit with all the commotion, and feeling pretty nervous, but Floyd was so down to earth friendly, and funny, he really helped put me at ease. Floyd took the time to explain some of the “unique” attributes of that “special” place! I always looked forward to seeing his big smile and hearing his hearty hello. I will always remember how he made me feel welcome at a time, and in a place, when I really needed it. I am sure he will be missed by many. Take care and God bless , Lynn Stock

    Dear DeVries Family,
It made me so sad to hear about Floyd’s passing. He was a great man and someone I would call my friend. There were a lot of good memories back in the days when Pup’s Pizza was around and the guys came in for lunch. He always had a smile on his face and something to say. May you all find peace in the coming days in remembering those special things that made him the great loving person he was.
    Thoughts and prayers,

Floyd was one of the warmest and most gentle of men that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. He always had a smile even in the most trying of times. I’ll very much miss his presence. You have my deepest sympathy.
