Richard A. Kavonius, Jr., 38, of Fox Lake, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, May 31, 2012.
Rick is survived by his two children, Tyrus Jacob, 13 and Sequoia Rain, 11; his mother, Carol, of Fox Lake; four brothers, George (Mindy) Kavonius, Shannon Kavonius, Mickey Kavonius, and Robbie Kavonius; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sr., his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Funeral services for Richard A. Kavonius, Jr. will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun.
Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.

my thoughts are with his family. This is a shock to me. I was Rick’s friend in the past but had no idea. May I ask what happened? May you find comfort during this sad time.

I worked with Rick on the Wisconsin Southern Railroad. He worked hard and brought plenty of humor with him where ever we went. He was a guy you wanted to work with because when you’re laughing the day doesn’t seem as long or the burden you’re carrying as heavy. I am very sorry for your loss. He is missed.

Rick was a classmate of mine whom I looked forward to seeing at our upcoming reunion. He always made me laugh. He had a heart of gold!
