d. September 28, 2013

(1931 - 2013)

Bob was born May 30, 1931 in the township of Metomen the son of Aldert and Cynthia VandenBerg Rens. In 1955 he was honorably discharged as a petty officer 2nd class. Bob served as president of The Christian Home board for two years and served six years on the Waupun Common Council. Being a cook in the Navy, he got involved in the restaurant business. Bob and his wife, Mary, bought and operated The Ren House Restaurant for 13 years. Because he was raised on a farm, later on in life Bob became involved in the farming business. For many years he was a volunteer and was on a committee for the starting of Bargains Galore Thrift Store. Bob was on the board of Dodge County Housing Commission for the past 10 years.

Bob will be remembered by his love for the Lord, his big smile, his compassion and concern for others, his strong work ethic, and his gift of organization.
