James C. Jensen, 76, of Waupun, died November 4, 2014 at his home.
James was born November 1, 1938 in Westport, WI the son of Clifford and Christine (Christensen) Jensen. On May 17, 1958 he married Mary Ann Liner in Waupun where they have lived since 1965. James was employed by Mendota State Hospital, Central State Hospital and Dodge Correctional Institute, retiring with 39 years of service in corrections. He then worked at Michel’s Pipeline in security for several years. James was an avid outdoorsman and Packer fan.
James is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Jensen of Waupun; son, Jim Jensen of Waupun; daughter, Kathy (Joe) Donnery of Saranac, NY; three grandchildren: Bailey Jensen, and Mark and Lisa Donnery; great-grandson, Bryant McCarrell; great-granddaughter, Daelyn Wink; three sisters: Ruth (Richard) Nelson of Turtle Lake, Karen (Phil) Knudsvig of Waunakee, and Louise (August) Beck of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives of James Jensen may call on the family on Friday from 4-6 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun with Fr. Mike Wild officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waupun.
Memorial Contributions:
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
