Adalia "Dolly" C. Sack, age 84 of Reeseville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at her daughter's home in Beaver Dam.
Dolly was born on May 19, 1927 in Lowell, WI to Hubert and Leona (nee Miller) Schroeder. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School and enjoyed working as a telephone operator for AT&T. She was united in marriage to Arthur Rux, Robert Rux and Leslie Sack, who all preceded her in death. Dolly was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, where she was active in Mission Aid. Along with her husband Les, Dolly's love for music was shared with many as they played in the band Stardust for 25 years. They also enjoyed taking trips all over the area in Les's hobby planes. Dolly was a volunteer with AT&T Telephone Pioneers and always looked forward to getting together with her old friends from the phone company.
Dolly is survived by her children, Ronald Rux of Horicon, Letty (Bob) Foster of Beaver Dam, and Roberta (Wayne) Schneider of Beaver Dam; her step-son, Richard (Darlene) Sack of Juneau; her grandchildren, Deborah (William) Ziehme, Todd (Marla) Erdman, Jennifer Rux, Debbie Haase, Robert, Matthew, Andrew, and Kelly Foster, Michele (fiancé, Eric Hase) Schneider, and Brian (Kelly) Schneider; her great-grandchildren, Dylan and Haylee, Selena, Taylor and Devin; her brothers, Roger Schroeder of Madison and Eugene Schroeder of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her three husbands, her three brothers, Earl, Harvey and Harland Schroeder, and other relatives.
A Funeral Service for Dolly will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Wendland officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton and a luncheon will be served back at the funeral home.
Memorials in Dolly's name may be directed to Hillside Hospice or St. Stephen's Organ Fund.
