Agnes Marie (Furman) Abraham, age 84, died peacefully on March 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.
A memorial gathering for Angie will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Angie was born November 16, 1939, in Montello, WI to John W. and Mary E. (Cadigan) Furman. She graduated from Montello High School in 1957, then attended cosmetology school. She married James Abraham on October 28, 1961. After working a couple years as a cosmetologist, she and her husband co-owned and managed the Maple Lunch restaurant in Ripon in the early 1960s. After her four children were in school, Angie began a long career at R-Line Foods, which was later purchased by J.M. Smucker. Angie retired in 2003.
Angie liked to garden and work in her yard and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved animals and always had a pet or two by her side. Angie was a collector of owls and had a wide variety in her home and yard.
Survivors include her children, Tara (Chris) Sparks of Ripon; Trisha (Keith) Reopelle of Marshall, WI; Todd (Tanya) Abraham of Ripon; Trudi (Steve) Bush of Fairwater, WI; grandchildren, Ana Sparks, Kestrel Reopelle, Teal Theam (Alan), Alicia, Zachary, and Jacob Abraham, Scott Simon, Olivia, Owen and Alex Bush; great-grandchildren Connor Sparks-Conlon and Maxwell Theam. Also survived by brothers John Furman of Montello, S. Mark Furman of Ashland, Ohio, and sister Pat Leidy of Pinedale, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim; sisters Ruth Furman, Bernice Nelson, Mary Catherine Furman and Teresa Gabriel; and brother Thomas Furman.
