Alan D. Posthuma, age 72, of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 30, 2026.
Alan was born on December 23, 1953, the son of Jacob and Betty A. (All) Posthuma. He spent his life making a significant impact on those around him, exemplifying the qualities of a beloved father, husband, fiancé, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was united in marriage to Linda Giese June 8, 1973 in Beaver Dam.
Alan's career spanned several years within the trucking industry. He began his journey at Michel's Pipeline before going on to work for D&T Trucking and Gehrke Trucking. This led to Alan becoming the proud owner of Al Posthuma Trucking. His commitment to punctuality and reliability was extremely important to him.
Beyond his career, Alan was known for his profound wisdom and amiable personality. He had a way of touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him, offering words of encouragement. His love for adventure was evident in his hobbies, as he enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, taking pleasure in the thrill of the open road and the beauty of winter. Alan also enjoyed westerns and the popular show "Heartland."
Alan is survived by his fiancée, Kim Steinberg of Beaver Dam; his children: Chris Posthuma of Beaver Dam, Joel Posthuma of Beaver Dam, Stacy Lindert of Beaver Dam, and Tina (Erik) Servidone; Kim's children: Holly (Dave) Koronkiewicz of Beaver Dam, Alicia Steinberg of Beaver Dam, and Marissa Steinberg of Wausau; grandchildren: Bryce Posthuma, Ethan and Kylee Lindert, Collin Koronkiewicz, Colton Roberts, and Jenna Servidone; his brothers and sisters: David (Deborah) Posthuma of Fox Lake, Gary (Diane) Posthuma of Waupun, Brian (Marcia) Posthuma of Fox Lake, and Rodney (Brenda) Posthuma of Beaver Dam; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Linda Posthuma in 2011; two grandchildren, Jonah and Noah Lindert; along with several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral and Cremation Services in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mark Reichert officiating. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
