Alan Jay Wells, age 57 of Markesan, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

Alan is survived by a daughter Jessica Wells of Lone Rock, Wisconsin, sons Jacob (Erin) Wells of Mazomanie, Wisconsin, Cody Wells of Gotham, Wisconsin and Tanner Wells of Lone Rock, Wisconsin.

Alan is also survived by a sister Sherry (nee Wells) Chavez of Markesan and brothers, Steve (Debbie) Wells of Phoenix, Arizona and Michael (Jennifer) Wells of Maple Park, Illinois along with many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Alan was preceded in death by a son Nicholas Wells, a daughter Lacie Wells and his parents Jim Wells and Myrna (Norman) Schroll.

Alan worked for many years at Alsum Farms near Spring Green, Wisconsin before moving to Markesan where he was most recently employed by Seneca Foods.

A benefit and celebration of life will be held at The Freedom Ryders Clubhouse N2202 Highway B in Markesan on November 2, 2013 and is open to the public.
