Albert M. Yundt Sr., age 74 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison.
Albert was born on January 22, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Aaron and Alice (nee Killorn) Yundt. He served his country in the United States Army for 8 years and on December 30, 1958 he was united in marriage to Darlene Piotrowski in Chicago, IL. He worked for the telephone company for many years as a lineman. Albert loved fishing and camping. He was a self-taught "fixer" and could do everything from cars to computers to welding. Albert was truly an inventor and had a natural gift for making things better. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Albert was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam and John E. Miller American Legion Post #146.
Albert is survived by his loving wife, Darlene of Beaver Dam; children, Morris (Tammy) Yundt of Hartland, Brian (Katie Wilkes) Yundt of West Allis, Eric (Lisa Carpenter) Yundt of New Berlin, Doreen Tesch of Beaver Dam, Arnold (Candy Brunkow) Yundt of Fond du Lac and foster daughter, Ann (Jonas) Whitehead of Canton, TX. He is further survived by 14 grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Albert Jr. and other relatives.
Visitation for Albert will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 511 S. Springs St. in Beaver Dam from 11:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Mike Erwin as celebrant. A luncheon will immediately follow the Mass at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam.
