Alice Oestreicher, age 81 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully and gracefully on Friday, January 30, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at Charleston House in Beaver Dam.
Alice was born on June 10, 1944, the daughter of Harold and Doris (Kutzke) Fiegel. Alice was united in marriage to James Oestreicher on September 19, 1964 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Together, they created a lifetime of memories, highlighted by their extraordinary trip to Hawaii for their 50th wedding anniversary. Alice loved traveling and laying on the beach. She also enjoyed ice skating, playing cards and dice with family and friends, dancing, and taking her children and grandchildren to amusement parks. Weekends often featured her homemade pizzas, gatherings of family members, and many late evenings filled with laughter. Alice made new friends anywhere she would go due to her infectious personality, she was always smiling and had a good time in whatever she was doing. She loved going up north to Neshkoro to their trailer with her family especially her grandkids where they watched fireworks over The Old Mill Pond. She loved taking the grandkids canoeing on the Chain O’ Lakes. A huge supporter of her children and grandchildren, Alice’s presence was always at sporting events, never missing a game. She found joy in her favorite sports teams, including the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers.
Alice is survived by her husband, James Oestreicher of Beaver Dam; her two children, James (Julie) Oestreicher and Jill (Christopher) Kehrmeyer; her grandchildren: Aryanna Oestreicher, Isabella Oestreicher, and Carmen Kehrmeyer, all of Beaver Dam, who were all the light of her life; her brother, Ric (Connie) Fiegel of Beaver Dam, her three sisters: Diane (Dan) Cupery of Beaver Dam, Shirley Thieme of Juneau, and Beverly King of Fond du Lac; sister-in-law, Lisa Fiegel; her very special fur baby (dog), Molly that Alice would not live without. Molly brought Alice so much joy and happiness, always by her side as her faithful companion.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Randy Fiegel and Ronney Fiegel; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Thieme and David King.
The family would like to thank The Charleston House Assisted Living caregivers for taking wonderful care of Alice for the last 4 years in addition to a special few caregivers that were very compassionate, caring, and thoughtful during Alice’s last days. It really meant the world to the family to have that support. Also, a special thanks to Bristol Hospice nursing staff for the past couple of years in helping to support the Charleston House to give Alice the extra care she needed.
