Allan was born in Columbus on March 3, 1946 to Frederick and Evelyn (nee Andler) Sekel. He was married to Roberta Clark on July 6, 1968 in Oconomowoc. Allen worked for Beaver Services until moving to Wyoming 30 years ago, where he worked as a truck driver. He loved to spend time on the road and when he wasn't working, his wife and children were his top priority. Later in life, he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. He moved back to the Beaver Dam area within the last few years to be closer with much of his family. He will always be remembered as being good humored and a jokester.

Allan is survived by: his children, Robby Sekel of Tuscon, Arizona and Dede Sekel of Rock Springs, Wyoming; seven grandchildren; brothers and a sister, Janice Wendling and Larry (LouAnn) Sekel both of Beaver Dam, Gene (Viviun) Sekel of Chicago, Illinois; three sister-in-laws, Angie Andler and Verna Sekel both of Beaver Dam and Karen Vruwick of Crandon,Wisconsin. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, an aunt, two uncles, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife in September 1999, three brothers, Rodney Andler, Bill and Donald Sekel, a brother-in-law Carl Wendling and several other relatives.

A Funeral Service for Allan will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Rev. Robert Castro officiating. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow the Service at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia, WI.
