Anita "Neets" H. Johnson, age 86 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Clearview Long Term Care and Rehab Center.

Anita was born in Minnesota on July 23, 1926 to Ambrose and Marcella (nee Decoster) Hoey. Anita was a graduate of Greenway High School. She was united in marriage to Wilbur G. Johnson. Anita worked at Wagner Products for almost 20 years. She enjoyed camping, playing games-especially Canasta and Yahtzee, and boating in her earlier years. Anita loved being with her family and grandchildren.


Anita is survived by her children, Carol (Bob Sr.) Weinberger of Tomahawk, Wayne (Peggy) Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Kathy (Gregory) Lawton, all of Beaver Dam; 8 grandchildren, Bob Jr., Jodi, Tim, Bill, Russ, Shane, Maria and Rick; several great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Ed (Betty) Hoey, Luke (Jan) Hoey, Fran Carpenter, and Marcy, all of Minnesota; and sister-in-law, Vivian Rusin of Minnesota. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur; sisters, Marie and Lorraine; and other relatives.

A Funeral Service for Anita will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., in Beaver Dam. Visitation will take place prior to the service at Cornerstone, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Okeeg Cemetery in the Town of Elba.
