Anita was born on October 23, 1928 in Reeseville, WI to Earl and Lillian (nee Stegner) Winker Sr. She attended grade school in Reeseville. On May 28, 1951, Anita was united in marriage to Roland Wuesthoff Sr. in Dubuque, Iowa. She was a homemaker prior to working at Weyenberg Shoe Factory, where she retired from after 25 years. Anita was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, where she was active in the Ladies Aid and the Retirees. She also enjoyed volunteering for the blood drives held at church. Anita helped out with Brownies, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts when her children were young, and she loved babysitting for her grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies included doing ceramics, crocheting and fishing. With a caring heart and giving spirit, Anita will always be remembered for her genuine "open door policy" she had with all who knew her.
Anita is survived by her mother, Lillian Winker of Watertown; her husband, Roland Wuesthoff Sr. of Beaver Dam; her six children, Barbara Ramsay of Beaver Dam, Diana (Lee) Lebron of Milwaukee, David (Lisa Scholz) Wuesthoff of Beaver Dam, Roland (Linn) Wuesthoff Jr. of Fox Lake; Richard (Sue) Wuesthoff of Beaver Dam, and Dennis (Sue) Wuesthoff of Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her brother, Earl (Karen) Winker of Watertown; and her sister, Della Hyland of Adams-Friendship. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Anita was preceded in death by her father, Earl Winker; two brothers, Archie and Lyle Winker; her son-in-law, Thomas Ramsay in 2007; and her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Wuesthoff in 2008.
A Memorial Service for Anita will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd in Beaver Dam with Rev. Dr. Mark Molldrem and Rev. Elaine Gerth officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 4:00 p.m.
