Anna (Benditto) Hughes, 87, of Waupun, went to her heavenly home Monday, July 27, 2015 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.

Anna was born December 23, 1927 in Naples, Italy, the daughter of Giuseppe and Rosa Eimelinda Benditto. Anna came to America in 1946 on The Queen Mary and married LeRoy Hughes on February 12, 1955. Anna and LeRoy lived in Cambria where she worked summers at the Fall River Canning Company for over 30 years until moving to Mellen to enjoy their retirement. Anna enjoyed volunteering and casino trips with her husband. In 2010 they moved to Waupun to be near their children. Anna enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She loved to cook; and was well known for her Italian cooking. She also loved to sew, knit, and make afghans for her children, especially her grandchildren. She also taught her daughters and great-granddaughter how to knit. Anna was well known for her smiles and making conversations that would never end. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply, as they brought her a lot of joy.

Anna is survived by a son, Judge Arthur (Jeanette) Schneider of Waunakee, WI; two daughters: Suzanne (Ken) Reilley of Hancock and Marcia (Fred) Stancer of Waupun; seven grandchildren: Annmarie (Marty) den Daas, Alicia (Jay) Schweitzer, Angela (Adam) Toepp, Jennifer (Leo) Moravek, Ken Reilley Jr., Jamie (Sarah) Beek, and Amy (Ken) Huenink; eight great-grandchildren: Bryanna Moravek, Kenzy and Megan Reilley, Spencer and Cameron Beek, and Taylor, Brady, and Haley Huenink; a sister, Yolanda Benditto and a brother, Antonio Benditto and family, both of Naples, Italy; four brothers-in-law: Edwin (Donna) Hughes, Marvin (Marge) Hughes, Elmer (Betty) Hughes, and Emrys Hughes; three sisters-in-law: Evelyn Mohr, Mary (Robert) Lentz, and Phylis (Keith) Hutzler; and many nieces and nephews.
