Arden "Boots" R. Boelter, age 65 of Markesan, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the Markesan Resident Home.
Visitation for Boots will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, April 8 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marquette from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Michael Plagenz will officiate. Burial will take place at Grand Prairie Cemetery, Markesan.
Arden was born on July 18, 1951 in Ripon, the son of Henry and Mable (Affeldt) Boelter. He owned and operated Boelter Transit for many years. He also raised beef cattle. Boots loved being around people, telling stories and sharing in conversation over coffee. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marquette.
Survivors include his daughter, Angel Boelter of Eau Claire; his brother, Jerry (Ann) Boelter of Markesan; his sister-in-law, Vila (Paul) Dolata of Ripon; nephew, Jim (Carrie) Boelter of Markesan; niece, Jessica Boelter of Markesan; and very dear friends, Tom, Jennifer and Ashley Ruetten of Markesan. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Eldon and other relatives.
