Arlene Marie Van Buren, 79, of Montello, passed away September 4, 2026.
Arlene was born December 15, 1946, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the daughter of Leslie James and Jeanette Arlene (Coon) Fairbanks.
Arlene was united in marriage to Clarence Van Buren on October 22, 1966, at First Reformed Church in Waupun. She worked at the Shoe Factory in Beaver Dam but primarily spent her days as a homemaker, taking care of Clarence and their family.
Arlene loved her family. She enjoyed painting, doing cross stitch, making plastic furniture for babies, making dolls, and working with plastic canvas.
Arlene is survived by her daughter, Tammy Van Buren; two grandchildren, Sammy (Michael) Linsenbigler and Toby Syens; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Cheyenne, Roxas, Alaska, and Autumn; several siblings, Gary Fairbank, Robert Fairbank, Larry (Deb) Fairbank, Scott (Melissa) Fairbank, Sandy Brengle, and Debbie Heeline; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leroy (Donna) Van Buren and Gail Van Buren; and many nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, and her parents.
Visitation for Arlene will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barry Lang officiating. Private family inurnment for Arlene will take place at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.
