Arlene M. Mallon, age 88 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Arlene was born on October 9, 1925 in Beaver Dam to Edward and Emily (nee Hammer) Washtock and graduated from Beaver Dam High School. On July 26, 1947, Arlene was united in marriage to William "Bill" E. Mallon at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Arlene enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her five children. She also worked in the meat department at Piggly Wiggly and as an Avon representative.
Arlene was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and formerly St. Patrick's Catholic Church. In her spare time, Arlene enjoyed visiting with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Bill of Beaver Dam; her five children, Kathleen (Edward) Duenkel of West Bend, Jerald Mallon of Waterloo, Mary (Robert) Leistico of Beaver Dam, Dawn (Lyle) Kuhlmann of Woodruff, WI and Richard (David Vreeke) Mallon of Fontana, WI; her grandchildren, Carrie Westphal, Michael Duenkel, Jeffrey Duenkel, Vickie Petersen, Brad, Jesse, Jamie and Jennifer Mallon and Daniel Leistico; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Art Washtock and other relatives.
Private family services for Arlene will be held.
