Arlene Rohr

Arlene Rohr, 85, of Waupun, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

Arlene was born January 12, 1938 in Kewaunee, WI the daughter of Arthur and Helen Haferman Daul. Arlene married Richard A. Rohr and they moved to Waupun in 1969. Arlene started her career in corrections in 1971 and was employed at Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun as a security officer for 21 years from which she retired in 1993. She was the first female psychiatric guard at Central State Hospital.  She was a member of Waupun United Methodist Church. Arlene loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed the Packers. She also enjoyed going to the casino. 

Arlene is survived by a daughter, Kristin (Don) Frens of Waupun; two sons: Mark J. (Dawn) Rohr of Waupun and Mitchell D. (Jeanette) Rohr of Waupun; four grandchildren: Sara (Matt)  Homan, Curtis (Casey) Frens, Felicia (Dan Kohl) Rosales, and Selena (Brandon) Wolford; seven great-grandchildren; Amber and Luke Homan, Coen and Caden Frens, Rain and River Kohl, and Asher Wolford; two sisters-in-laws: Arlene Daul and Elaine Daul; and many nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Richard Rohr; two sisters:  Betty Denamur and Alice Zimmerman; and three brothers: Norbert Daul, Myron Daul, and Pat Daul.

Funeral services for Arlene Rohr will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
