Ava Lily Nelson, 7 months, of Beaver Dam passed away unexpectedly at Beaver Dam Community Hospital on Saturday, October 22, 2011.

Ava was born on March 5, 2011 in Beaver Dam to Zachary Nelson and Alora Huettl. Ava was a very happy baby. She loved bouncing, imitating sounds, splashing in the bath tub and playing with her kitty cat. Ava loved her family and she had the ability to make anyone smile, even after a difficult day. She truly was a blessing to her family and she will be deeply missed by them.

Ava is survived by her parents, Zachary Nelson and Alora Huettl both of Beaver Dam; paternal grandparents, Ron (Yvonne) Gaspardo of Beaver Dam; maternal grandparents, Jeff Huettl Sr. of St. Francis, WI and Rochelle Waddell; paternal great-grandparents, Gary (Judith) Nelson of Waupun; aunts and uncles, Rebecca Gaspardo of Beaver Dam, Crystal (Jer) Dropps of St. Francis, MN, Kyle Gaspardo of Juneau, Jeff (Alyssa) Huettl Jr. of Watertown, Tammy (Brian) Kronquist of Watertown and Kori Huettl of Milwaukee. Ava is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends of the family.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great- grandparents, Jerry and Virginia Waddell and paternal great-grandmother, Marcella Grabko.

A Private Family Funeral Service for Ava will be held and the family is having a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Chapel of the Archangels (formerly St. Michael's Catholic Church), 839 Madison St. in Beaver Dam from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
