Betty A. Weber, age 71 of Beaver Dam, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.

Betty was born on April 9, 1936 in Beaver Dam to Carl and Erma (nee Jolitz) Backhaus. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School and married Ted Weber at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on June 30, 1956. Betty was the most beautiful housewife and mother in the world! She enjoyed bowling in several leagues, embroidery, reading and playing cards. Betty was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends gave Betty much pleasure. She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew her.

Betty is survived by her husband, Ted of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Sandy (Tom) Hoppe of Madison; two sons, Mike (Kim) Weber of Reeseville, and Joe Weber of Beaver Dam. She is also survived by her three sisters, Delores Winter of Beaver Dam, Helen Searels of Beaver Dam, and Ruth (Harold) Marthaler of Pennsylvania; her two brothers, Hilbert (Phyliss) Backhaus of Palmyra, WI, and Carl (Lois) Backhaus of Arkansas; and her three grandchildren, Luke Hoppe and Austin and Cole Weber. Betty is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marilyn Balke.

A Memorial Service for Betty will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam with Father John Schreiter officiating. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam at a later date. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, and also on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Funeral Home.
