Betty J. Donaubauer

Betty Jane Donaubauer, age 88, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Betty was born on December 12, 1937, the daughter of Gerhard and Charlotte (Ivanec, nee Kuenzi) Schultz. On February 9, 1957, she was united in marriage to her husband, Frank Donaubauer at Church of Incarnation in Milwaukee. Together they lived in Milwaukee, before eventually moving to Lowell, and finally Beaver Dam. Frank and Betty were the best hosts and enjoyed having guests. She was a great cook and baker to the benefit of those she hosted. Betty always had an immaculate house and even cleaned professionally for many years. In her free time Betty enjoyed watching game shows and trips to the casino where she often won. She was a devout Christian and made sure to say her prayers for everyone each night before bed. Betty was a deeply caring wife, older sister, friend and mother image to all.

Betty is survived by her siblings, Howard Schultz of Beaver Dam, Eugene Schultz of Beaver Dam, Bonnie Parsley of Juneau, Randy (Michalene) Schultz of Juneau, Dann Schultz of Beaver Dam, Steven Schultz of Lowell, John Schultz of Cottage Grove, Dale (Linda) Arey of Madison, and Darlene Weisensel of Granton; sisters-in-law, Violet Schultz of Waterloo and Cheryle (James) Brock of Beaver Dam; special friends, Roseanna Bauer, Terry and Jim Bester, Brian Laprade; and further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Donaubauer, father, Gerhard Schultz; mother, Charlotte Ivanec; stepmother, Elizabeth Schultz; brothers, Earl Schultz; Dale Schultz, Gordon Schultz, and Richard Schultz infancy; sister-in-law, Mary Schultz, brothers-in-law, Bob Weisensel and Paul Parsley; special friend, Jessie Klumpers; other relatives and friends.

In honoring Betty's wishes, no services will be held.

Special thanks to the staff at Hillside Manor and Hillside Hospice for their care given to Betty.

Betty is at peace now and has left us with so many good memories of life, love, and laughter. She will be missed by all who knew her well. Rest in peace.
