Betty June Flegner, 86, of Fox Lake, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at her home.
Betty was born July 25, 1928 in Waupun the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Able. Betty graduated from Waupun High School. In 1947 she married Chester Flegner. Betty and Chester farmed for over 30 years in the Waupun area. They also dedicated their lives to helping many foster children. Betty and Chester later retired on Fox Lake. Betty enjoyed gambling, sewing and traveling.
Betty is survived by a son, Ronney Flegner of Winneconne; two grandchildren: Dr. Rebecca Flegner and Robert (Amanda) Flegner; two great-grandchildren: Greyson and Arabella Flegner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, in 2003; her parents; a daughter, Sandra Flegner; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Flegner; three siblings: Alan and Orvil Able, and Phyllis Herringa.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Betty Flegner will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. J.D. McCarty officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton.
