Betty Raymond, age 81 of Markesan, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her home.

A Memorial Service for Betty will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Service, 181 S. Main St. in Markesan with Rev. Ethan Larson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Cornerstone, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Estabrooks Cemetery in Fond du Lac.

Betty was born on September 28, 1934 in Waushara County to Hughbert and Leona (Tetzlaff) Raymond She graduated from Ripon High School and was later married to Gerhardt Paul Kind who preceded her in death in 1977. She enjoyed crafting, shopping, collecting porcelain dolls and feeding the birds and cats around the apartment. Betty especially enjoyed collecting anything "Betty Boop".

Betty is survived by her daughters, Debra (Tom) Sanders of Markesan, Linda (Wayne) Nighbor of Manchester, Patricia Anderson of Oshkosh, Julie (Bryan) Te Beest of Fox Lake; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerhardt, a son Steven Roehl, great grandson Gregory Lamont Smack III, 2 brothers and other relatives.
