Obituary

Beverly Jean Helsdon, 90 was born June 14, 1933 in Ostrander Minnesota to Noel and Ella (Austby) Christopherson. The Lord joined Beverly with her beloved husband Jack together after only 2 months apart on April 13, 2024. They both left a legacy of love, deep faith and a positive outlook on life.

Moving as a little girl to Carpentersville, IL. Bev graduated from Dundee High School in 1951, married Jack Helsdon on July 30, 1955 and they celebrated 68 wonderful years together. She worked at Haeger Pottery, Gromer's Supermarket and retired from Hanchette Insurance. With her husband she enjoyed a fabulous retirement at their home on Fox Lake, WI where she eagerly volunteered in many local groups and especially loved being of service to her church.

Bev is survived by her loving family, mother to Dan (Korrin) Helsdon of Gilberts, IL. and Vicki (Gene) Miller of Leaf River, IL. Proud Grandmother to Matthew (Erica) Miller, Bryan (Katie) Miller, Amy (John) Kirchner, Lindsey (Brian) Farrell, Joseph (Riley Andrews) Kotz and loved by 13 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Jerry (Linda) Christopherson, sister-in-law Barb (the late Roger) Christopherson, sister-in-law Linda (Carl) Mitchell and many nieces and nephews.

Bev and Jack enjoyed travelling the world making friends wherever they went. She dearly loved her treasured "club" friends that gathered once a month for over 50 years, her church family, scrapbooking girls and truly everyone she met.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 28, at 1:00 PM with family greeting friends and loved ones at 12:30 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 311 W. Mackie St., Beaver Dam, WI 53916. www.firstlutheranchurch.org Pastor Jim Wendt officiating. The family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding care and love provided by the staff at Hillside Manor. Bev was very driven in every way and fought hard through a devastating stroke that took her fierce independence away. A kind and gentle woman of deep faith who was a friend and organizer to all.

If desired, memorials in Bev's name be directed to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam WI or your charity of choice.

Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam is honored to be serving the family.
