Robert "Bob" L. Hayes Jr., age 50 of rural Dalton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his home.

Bob was born on August 14, 1963 in Waupun to Robert L. and Shirley (nee Schonasky) Hayes Sr. He graduated from Markesan High School in 1981 and served his country in the United States Army. Bob worked at Zeier's Siding and Home Improvement in Waunakee. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his dogs. Bob had a true passion for raising pheasants and over the years, he raised over 1000 pheasants and released them back into the wild to help the population continue to grow. He was a very giving individual and will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his significant other, Joby Proctor of Dalton; his parents, Bob and Shirley Hayes Sr. of Dalton; two sons, Dylan and Brock Hayes; his siblings, Carol (George) Werla of Loganville, WI, Cindy (Russell) Werth of Markesan and Dennis Hayes of Dalton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service for Bob will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Cornerstone Funeral Service, 181 S. Main St. in Markesan with Chaplain Pamela Werth officiating. Visitation will also be held on Friday at Cornerstone from 12:00 p.m. (NOON) until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m.
