Obituary

Our beloved Braden "Brady" Vessey, 21, died on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Braden was born in Watertown to Nicole Schulte Vessey on December 15, 1993 and became a treasured addition to her family. When Braden was three, he and his mom met Steve Vessey, the man who would become father and husband to them. Shortly after Braden's mom and dad were married, Steve adopted Braden in 1999. A year later, Braden became a big brother when Teddy was born. Their family was then complete.

Braden was a 2012 graduate of Beaver Dam High School and currently resided in Milwaukee, attended Milwaukee Area Technical College, and worked for Kellogg's. He loved to play with his dog Annie, watch movies, play video games, Frisbee golf, fish, hunt deer, and make people laugh. He had a quick wit and an unfailing sense of humor. He was an absolute treasure to his family and will be missed dearly.

Braden is survived by his parents, Nicole and Steve and his brother, Teddy, of Beaver Dam; his Nana and Papa, Tom and Carole Schulte, of Juneau; his grandparents, Joel and Judy Vessey, of Beaver Dam; his aunt and uncle, Michelle and John Meier, of Madison; his cousin, friend, and fellow "Original" Molly Meier, of Milwaukee; his aunt and uncle, Kristine and Bruce Bobb and cousins Caroline and Claudia Bobb, all of Verona; his uncle and aunt, Scott and Andrea Schulte and cousins Ryan, Robin, Rachel, Rosie, and Shauna Schulte, all of Columbus; his uncle Luke Schulte, of Madison; his aunt Angie Vessey and cousins Eli, Oliver, and Spencer Booth, all of Beaver Dam; and many friends whose lives he touched during his life.

A celebration of Braden's life will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish, 950 Washington St. in Horicon with Fr. Michael Petrie as Celebrant. Visitation will be on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam and also on Tuesday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
