Bruce J. Barnes, age 65 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 at home.

Bruce was born on June 9, 1950 in Houston, TX, the son of Willard and Virginia (Mann) Barnes. On August 9, 1971, he was united in marriage to Caroline Hull in Waupun, WI. Throughout the years, Bruce owned and operated restaurants, as well as B&G Taxi in Beaver Dam. He was very fun-loving, caring and helpful; he never hesitated to put others first. He enjoyed spending time with his family, shopping, reading mystery books, playing cards and bingo.

Bruce is survived by his son, Scott (Tammy) Barnes, Beaver Dam; his grandchildren, Tamara Freeman, Michelle (Mario) Gonzales and Michelyn (Sabino) Estrada, all of Beaver Dam; six great-grandchildren; his siblings, Edward (Ruth) Barnes, Fond du Lac, Georgiana (Mike) Enfelt, Fond du Lac, Willard (Sylvia) Barnes, San Antonio, TX, Waynard (Betty) Barnes, Louisville, KY, Roy (Vicki) Barnes, Fond du Lac, Pauline Barnes, Fond du Lac, Paul Barnes, Fond du Lac, Vernon Barnes, Fond du Lac, Jay (Diane) Barnes, Clearwater, FL, James (Patti) Barnes, Wilmette IL, Cherrie (Gary) Hall, Lamar, AR; his former wife, Caroline Gilmore; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Renee Wondra and Sharon Minnick, infant sister, Barbara and great-grandchild, Remmi Marie Wraggs.

A memorial gathering for Bruce will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Bayside Supper Club in Beaver Dam.
