Carleen J. Zick age 74, of the Town of Mackford, went home to be with her heavenly Father on November 9, 2011 at her home after a battle with leukemia.

She was born on June 9, 1937 in Horicon to John W. and Mae (nee Simon) Rennhack. Carleen was confirmed at St. Paul Reformed Church in the Town of Scott in Columbia County. She graduated from Cambria High School in 1955. On October 15, 1955 she was united in marriage to Carlton E. Zick at St. Paul Reformed Church and they were married for 49 and half years.

All of her life, Carleen worked at several different places. She worked at Rockwell in Randolph for 31 years, Wisconsin Cheeseman in Sun Prairie, many canning factories and most recently at Precision Metalsmith of Markesan for over 20 years. Her many hobbies were dancing with her husband, bowling, fishing and doing crafts and gifts for her family and friends. Carleen really enjoyed her many flower beds she would plant each year, as each year they were all different.

Carleen is survived by her two loving sisters, Joyce Henry of DeForest, WI, Bonnie Rennhack of Beaver Dam; special nieces, Deborah Di Piazza of De Forest, WI, Sheila (Dan) Marron of McFarland, WI, Melissa Rennhack of Beaver Dam, Gale Ann (Charles) Nickerson of Lakeside, CA; nephews, Dennis (Rhonda) Rennhack of Texas, Shawn Rennhack of San Diego, CA, and a sister in law, Darlene Rennhack of San Diego, CA, She is further survived by Daryll (Linda) Zick of Fond du Lac, Wilton (Lynn) Zick of Beaver Dam and other relatives and friends. She also had a special pal, Pee Wee who never left her side.

Carleen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carlton and other relatives.

Visitation for Carleen will be on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 2-4 pm. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam. There will also be visitation on Monday, November 14, 2011 from 10:00 until the time of Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wahl officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow the funeral and burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton.

Memorials in Carleen's name may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church in Cambria or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Beverly Henslin, Joyce Speilvogel, Sharon Hildebrandt, Shirley Parker and Daryll and Linda Zick for driving Carleen to her chemotherapy treatments. Also to Agnesian Hospice of Fond du Lac, the Markesan EMT's for their help and kindness during a difficult time. Many thank yous to her special neighbors, David Zuehlke and Todd and Teresa De Chant for all the friendship and selflessness of love and care to Carleen, especially the past year and a half.
