Obituary

Carol Ann Lee Jenswold, age 82, of Mayville, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, after a complication from surgery.

Carol was born in Santa Barbara, California, on December 27, 1942, the daughter of Forrest C. and Margaret E. (Frank) Oestreich. On October 12, 1963, she was united in marriage to her husband, Raymond Jenswold, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fox Lake.

Carol was a 1961 graduate of Fox Lake High School and attended The Accredited Schools of Beauty Culture, Inc., receiving her cosmetology diploma on June 20, 1962. She then received her Cosmetology Manager Credential license from the State of Wisconsin. She worked at Artistic Beauty Salon in Horicon and cut hair for inmates at the Dodge County Jail for over 40 years.

She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was also talented in jewelry making, painting, and drawing. Carol was a woman of faith and devoted her time and talents to her church, Christian Life Fellowship in Mayville, where she enjoyed volunteering at the church food pantry.

Ray was her greatest love, and her greatest pride and joy was her family. She loved being included in their lives, and every moment left her with anticipation for the next. She was so proud of her family and glowed when speaking of her grandchildren. Carol and Ray rode motorcycle together, traveling on short trips with friends around Wisconsin, Niagara Falls, and Washington, D.C. They enjoyed yearly trips to Door County and attending jazz concerts together in Milwaukee. She also cherished the friends she made and the activities she was a part of at the TAG Center in Mayville. Carol was always so thankful for the time she had with her family and friends, and the support she received from them. She was a member of the Fox Lake American Legion Auxiliary for 67 years. Carol also volunteered with Special Touch Ministry, helping provide opportunities and support for those with disabilities.

Carol is survived by her three children: Christine (Mike) Liederbach of Mission,Texas; Gregory (Ann) Jenswold of Jefferson, Wisconsin; and Paul (Claudia) Jenswold of Butler, Wisconsin. She is further survived by two grandchildren, Lucas (Hailey) and Kiana (Sawyer); one great-grandchild, Skyler; brother, James (Janice) Oestreich of West Bend, Wisconsin; dear friend, Carol Freitag; special cousin, Mary Miller; along with many dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Raymond; her brother, Kenneth; and an unborn child lost in infancy.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hospice Home of Hope for their special care and support.
