Carol was born on October 2, 1932 in the town of Green Lake, the daughter of George and Lillie (Luethe) Werth. Following graduation from Markesan High School, she earned a bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. She was united in marriage to Philip Adams at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater. Carol worked as a social worker for Green Lake County, taking on a wide spectrum of responsibilities in helping others.
Carol was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater and volunteered at the Grand Opera House and Senior Center in Oshkosh. She also served as treasurer for the Markesan Sno-Drifters. Her hobbies included camping, sewing, traveling, bird watching, refurbishing items and line, square and folk dancing. She enjoyed nature, spending time with her family and looked forward to popcorn on Sundays while cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
Carol is survived by her sons, Philip (Sherry) Adams of Markesan and Douglas (Judith) Adams of Anchorage, AK; her son-in-law, John Toufar; her grandchildren, Andrew Adams, Dana Toufar, Philip (Chelsea) Adams and Craig Toufar; one great-grandson, Bowie Adams; siblings, Dr. James (Judy) Werth of Harlingen, TX and Joyce (Dave) Windebank of Sun City West, AZ; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Philip Adams; her daughter, Cheryl Toufar; four brothers, Robert, Richard, William and George; and other relatives.Visits: 0
