Cary J. Laper, age 71 of Markesan, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at home.

A memorial gathering for Cary will take place on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Cary was born on December 30, 1947, the son of Ralph and Iva (Jaeger) Laper. He worked in the maintenance department at Ripon Foods and Avalon, and also built Prairie Lanes in Markesan. In his free time, Cary enjoyed hunting.

Cary is survived by his children, Matt (Kayla) Laper of Waupun and Lisa (Eric) Strahota of Markesan; grandchildren; brothers, Don (Polly) Laper and Wayne Laper; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives.
