Charles "Chuck" A. Boschert, age 80 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Chuck was born on December 14, 1930 to Charles and Mary (nee Gaffney) Boschert. He graduated from Wilson High School in St. Paul, MN. On August 9, 1952, he was united in marriage to Monica Fontaine at St. Columba Parish in St. Paul, MN. They made their home in St. Paul before moving to Beaver Dam in 1966. They lived in Beaver Dam until 1985, returned to St. Paul, until retiring back in Beaver Dam. All of his working years, Chuck was a salesman, first selling insurance, then sewing supplies and crafts until his retirement in 1995. Chuck was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Horicon.
Chuck was very outgoing, had a great sense of humor and was a great storyteller. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as cheering on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. More than anything, Chuck loved spending time with his family.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 58 years, Monica of Beaver Dam; nine children, Terry (Beth) Boschert of Brown Deer, Ann (Scott) Nickerson of Madison, Gail (Mike) Tomko of DeKalb, IL, Gary (Deana) Boschert of Beaver Dam, David (Wendy) Boschert of Beaver Dam, Mary (Mark) Wiske of Sun Prairie, Bill (Mary Pat) Boschert of Beaver Dam, Daniel (Susan) Boschert of Campbellsport, and Michelle (Ted) Aguilar of Cottage Grove, MN; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his older sister, Joan Darrell of St. Paul, MN; his brother, Dr. Robert (Donna) Boschert of Lakeville, MN; and his younger sister, Virginia Snell of St. Paul, MN. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles (Mary) Boschert of St. Paul, MN and his older sister, Helen Gustafson of St. Louis, MO.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 950 Washington St, Horicon at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mike Wild as celebrant. Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd, Beaver Dam from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the funeral home.
