Charles Haase

Charles "Chuck" Haase, age 82 of the Town of Springvale, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025.

Chuck was born February 5, 1943 in Fond du Lac County, the son of George and Florence (Priepke) Haase. Chuck graduated from Brandon High School in 1961 and enlisted with the U.S. Marine Corps in 1962, serving for 4 years with the Marines. On May 24, 1969 Chuck was united in marriage to his wife, Sherry Gietzel at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon. Together they resided in the Brandon area all their married life. Chuck was employed at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac for 40 years. Following retirement he worked in farming and did concrete work part time.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Sherry Haase of Brandon; daughter, Stacy (special friend, Randall) Holzman of Brandon; son, Michael (Angela) Haase of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Rachel (Matthew) Polfus, Kayla Holzman, Jayden Haase, and Lillian Haase; step-grandson, Seth; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Polfus and Maija Polfus; brother, James Haase of Brandon; niece, Tina Haase; nephews, Greg (Kim) Root and Geoff (Sheri) Root; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence Haase; brother, George Haase and his wife, Sheila; sister, Joan Root and her husband, Charles; niece, Linda Root; and other relatives.

Funeral services for Chuck will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Robert Rosenberg officiating. Friends and relatives of Chuck may call on the family on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. time of service. American Legion Post 210 of Waupun will provide military honors.
