Charles R. "Chuck" Rabehl of Waupun, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
Chuck was born on June 12, 1961 in Beaver Dam, the son of Kenneth and Joanne (Borth) Rabehl. He graduated from Waupun High School in 1979. After graduation he joined the Hometown Glass and Improvement Team in Beaver Dam (formerly Janzcak Glass) and worked there 48 years retiring on his 65th birthday. On November 12, 1983 he married Cheri Core. Chuck and Cheri have one son Cody (Carissa) Rabehl along with 2 granddaughters Esme and Daya who hold a very special place in Grandpa’s heart.
Anybody that knew Chuck would tell you he was a man of few words until it came to hunting, sports, and in his older years, politics. He enjoyed a good game of cribbage or sheepshead with the guys at the Beaver Dam Conservation Club and long rides on his cycle. Most of all, though, he loved spending time with Esme and Daya and seeing what craziness they could get into next, from UTV rides to the hunting land or seeing who could do the best jumps and spin outs with their remote control trucks. Grandpa Charlie was their savior when it came to fixing their “toys!”
Chuck is survived by his wife, Cheri of Waupun; his son, Cody (Carissa) and their two children, Esme and Daya. Chuck also leaves behind a sister, Sherri Garcia of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Arlene Rabehl of Oshkosh and Chris Core of Beaver Dam and brothers-in-law, Tom (Colleen) Core of Waupun and Mike (Fern) Core of Nekoosa and their families; along with other relatives and friends, and we can’t leave out Beamer, the 84lb lap dog.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Kenny and Joanne Rabehl; brother, Randy Rabehl; and his in-laws, Richard (Dick) and Arlene Core.
A Celebration of Life for Chuck will be held at the Beaver Dam Conservation Club on County Road G, Beaver Dam AFTER the World Series and the rut.
