IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cheryl J.
Dobbratz
September 2, 1980 – August 4, 2025
**A Life Full of Love, Laughter, and Light**
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Cheryl J. Dobbratz ("CJ"), who left this world far too soon at the age of 44. Cheryl passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 4 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
A memorial gathering for Cheryl will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m.
Cheryl was born on September 2, 1980, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. She was born to her late mother Sandy Martin Beauprey and her father Tim Neuman. She was a fierce, funny, and fiercely loyal woman who lived with heart and honesty. Cheryl found joy in the everyday moments—sharing a laugh, sending a thoughtful message, or simply being present for the people she loved.
She was united in marriage to Scott Dobbratz, her partner in life, love, and everything in between. Together, they raised two extraordinary children: Brandon Dobbratz (26) and Angeline Dobbratz (18), who were Cheryl's pride and greatest accomplishments.
Cheryl is also survived by her father, Tim Neuman; stepmom, Karen Neuman; her stepfather Robert Beauprey; 4 stepsiblings, Kassandra Beauprey, James Beauprey, Rebbeca (Douglas Bodden) Chanto, and Stacy Dalhke; and a wide circle of extended family, nieces, nephews, friends, and loyal pets. Her home was always open, her heart even more so.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sandy Martin Beauprey, her father-in-law Gerald Dobbratz; aunts and uncles, James Martin, Richard Martin, Cheryl Goetz, and Jackie Neuman; grandma and grandpa, Roland and Angeline Leminski Martin, and Theodore and Marion Neuman; her cherished dog Jazzy, her niece, Justice Vosters and honorary son, Riley Gable, and other loved ones who have gone before her.
Cheryl had a gift for connection. Her late-night phone calls, perfectly timed texts, and spontaneous outpourings of love were just some of the ways she reminded others they mattered. She was a passionate listener, a protector, and a woman who lived unapologetically as herself. Whether you knew her as a friend, mom, wife, or sister —if you knew Cheryl, you knew her love.
Her presence will be missed every day, but her spirit lives on in the stories we tell, the laughter we share, and the love she gave so freely.
In honor of Cheryl's bold personality and unique spirit, the family asks that all guests wear **camouflage**, something she adored and wore with pride.
We invite you to come as you are—just as Cheryl always accepted everyone—and help us celebrate a life lived with love, humor, and an unstoppable spark.
