Obituary
Christine "Cris" R. Gay, age 67 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, July 10, 2016.
Christine was born on February 5, 1949 in Madison, WI, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Marceau) Johnson. She grew up in Merrill, WI, graduated from Stevens Point High School and attended UW-Stevens Point for one year. On July 4, 1971, she was united in marriage to Thomas C. Gay from Columbus, WI and moved to Beaver Dam in 1972. Cris worked at Fleet Farm in Beaver Dam for 15 years and at Bethesda Lutheran Homes in Watertown for 8 years, before retiring in 2011. Cris was a livelong avid reader, loved music, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Cris is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Carlin Becker; son, Adrian Gay; two granddaughters; sister, Karen Pfiffner and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.
In honoring her wishes, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
