Obituary

Our Blessed Lord and Savior welcomed with open arms Christopher J. Cupery, 38, who passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on January 12, 2026.

Christopher, fondly referred to as CJ, was born to Don and Jackie Cupery on December 12, 1987 in Beaver Dam, WI and lived his entire life in the Village of Randolph, WI.
CJ attended both Randolph and Beaver Dam School Districts until the age of 21, as part of their Special Needs Programs. After which, he attended Green Valley Enterprises where he looked forward to spending time with his peers on a daily basis.

Every day simplicities that most people take for granted were things that brought CJ immense joy. His favorite hobbies included bowling, swimming, four-wheeling and taking long rides on his electric bike (driven by Mom or Dad). His most favorite thing to do was camping. His happy place was sitting around a campfire with his camping family at Wilderness Campgrounds. That was his home away from home for nearly three decades.

CJ's ultimate pleasure in life was being part of a very loving, supportive and close-knit church community at Randolph First Reformed Church. His love for others was evident, but the love he had for his Lord & Savior was even greater. If everyone loved Jesus and attending church as much as Christopher did, this world would be a better place.
A day didn't go by where CJ wasn't listening to music. He was actually referred to as a "walking iPod" at one point in his life because there wasn't a song or genre he didn't know. His most treasured music was gospel music, which he was listening to when he entered the Kingdom of Heaven.

He loved his family beyond measure and while he was very attached to his mom and dad, his favorite person on earth was his sweet Grandma Marge. He connected with her on a daily basis, whether by phone or in person and the bond they shared was extraordinary.

There aren't enough words to describe all of the characteristics that made CJ such a special person. To know him was to be loved by him. He was the most tender-hearted, compassionate, funny, sensitive, charismatic young man who wanted for nothing and was made in the perfect image of God.

CJ will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Don and Jackie Cupery of Randolph, WI; older brother Donny Cupery of Wichita, KS; younger sister, Kelsey (Greg) Kettner of Neenah, WI; nieces Lily & Penny Cupery and nephews Steele & Gage Cupery of Wichita, KS; and other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Grandparents and other extended family members.

C hrist opher's celebration of life will be held at First Reformed Church in Randolph on Saturday, January 17, 2026 with visitation from 9-11 a.m. with the service to follow at 11.

If desired, memorials can be given in his name to "Autism Speaks" or a charity of your choice.
