Clemens Koehler, age 86, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 after a battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Clemens was born on September 4, 1939, the son of Martin and Lelah (Peachey) Koehler. He attended Northwestern Prep and came to Waupun during his junior year, graduating from Waupun High School in 1957. He promptly joined the United States Army, proudly serving his country in Germany from 1957 to 1960.
Following his military service, Clemens returned to Waupun. He worked at Central State Prison before operating his own milk route. He later worked for Silgan, where he remained until his retirement in 1990.
On January 30, 1982, he was united in marriage to Diane Joyce Jahns at Pella Lutheran Church.
Clemens enjoyed deer hunting, both bowhunting and gun hunting, as well as fishing, boating on Green Lake, camping, and working in his yard, especially spending time on his John Deere tractor. He also loved traveling with friends and cheering on the Packers and Badgers.
Clemens is survived by his wife, Diane; his son, Marty (Karen) Koehler; daughter-in-law, Deanna Koehler; five grandchildren, Heather Koehler, Megan Koehler, Austin (Casey) Koehler, Quilyn (Andres) Koehler, and Brett Koehler; five great-grandchildren, Carter, Huxley, Brynlee, Opal, and Mabel; one sister, Lela Ruske; two stepchildren, Kimberly (Clint Maas) Vroman and Kent (Jessica) Vroman; three step-grandchildren, Kadesha (Mike Reichartz), Logan, and Riley; and one step-great-grandchild, Akasha; and is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lynda; his son, Mike Koehler; his parents, Martin and Lelah; his sister, Cecelia Mecklenburg; and other relatives.
A memorial gathering for Clemens will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:30 p.m. A luncheon will follow the service.
