Clement Neher III

Clement “Jim” Neher III, 81, of Waupun, WI passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Christian Home and Rehab Center with family by his side. 

 Jim was born March 5, 1943 in Indiana, the son of Clement and Ada Boyd Neher II. In 1961 Jim graduated from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After high school he met the love of his life, Judy Wirick and the couple was married April 23, 1966 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jim worked for GTE until he was able to take early retirement in 1994 and then Jim and Judy made the move of their lifetime to Alaska. After 7 years in Alaska they decided to move to Wisconsin to be closer to family. One more adventure was still on the horizon so they moved to beautiful Ludington Michigan where they enjoyed 10 years of retirement.  Their last great move was to Waupun, Wisconsin where Jim lived the remainder of his life. Jim loved model trains, fly fishing, turtle hunting, and drinking beer. He also enjoyed the challenge of a puzzle, reading a good book and playing on the computer. 

 Jim's family included his wife of 58 years, Judy; three children: SGT Andrew Neher, Paul (Sarah) Neher, and Laura (Wayne) Peterson; four grandchildren: Brianna and Venessa Neher, Samantha Frinzi, and Indigo Leigh; three brothers: Robert (Jan) Neher, Steven (Deb) Neher and David Neher; 4 sisters: Ann (Tim) Faylor, Martha (David Culver) Neher, Mary Beth (Gary) Christen, and Rita Hecht; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded into Heaven by his father and mother, brother Robert, and son Andrew.

 Funeral services for Clement “Jim” Neher III will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun with Fr. John Owusu officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Visitation is from 9am-11am at the church prior to the funeral mass.

 In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Jim's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
