Daniel "Danny" L. Strahota, age 67 of Markesan, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2013 at home.

Danny was born on November 26, 1945 in Milwaukee to Clarence and Agnes (nee Morierity) Strahota. On August 13, 1983 he was united in marriage to Sharon Brotkouski by Rev. David Kastenschmidt. He was a former member of the Markesan Fire Department and Lion's Club. Danny was an avid golfer but his true passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Danny is survived by his wife Sharon of Markesan; children, Lisa (Dale) Hall of Kingwood, TX, Amy (Jason) Rogge of Omro, Katherine (Travis) Steffen of Markesan, Bobbi (fiance Chris) Richter of Princeton; grandchildren, Stephanie and Emily Asmus, Allison Rogge, Cody, Jared and Callie Leahy Justice Steffen and Cooper, Conner, Libby and Collin Richter. He is further survived by two sisters, a son-in-law, Jeff (Susan) Leahy and their daughter Amelia of Marquette, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and other relatives.

In honoring his wishes, private family services will be held and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
