She was born on August 11, 1938 in Mayville, WI to Lester E. and Dorothy V. (nee Uebel)Binder Sr. Darlene was a long-time resident of Beaver Dam and was currently the property manager at Briarwood Cottages in Beaver Dam for the past several years. Darlene loved the outdoors and anything to do with nature. She was an avid walker, reader, game player and thoroughly enjoyed doing crafts. Darlene's faith was important to her and was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Her family and extended family meant the world to her and she truly cherished the time she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren. She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.

Darlene is survived by her children, Pamela (Charles) Klepper of Greeneville, TN, Michael (Kathleen) Hyne of Appleton and Michele J. Drayton of Lisle, IL; grandchildren, Joseph E. Klepper, Brandi N. Westmoreland and Olivia A. Ostrander; brothers and sisters, Rodney G. Binder of Fox Lake, Connie R. Binder, Bettie (Joseph) Mallon, Donna (Ronald) Nehmer and Lester (Judith) Binder Jr. all of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband James Hyne, 2nd Husband John Posthumus, two sisters, Janice Frey and Dyvonne Loker and several other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Posthumus will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 6:00p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Rev. Paul Stratman officiating. A Memorial Gathering will also be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Service at 6:00 p.m.
