Darvin Gene Gilbertson, age 72, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital.

He was born on January 1, 1954, in Columbus, the son of William and Marion (Schultz) Gilbertson. Darvin studied at Moraine Park Technical College, Beaver Dam Campus. He worked at Mosinee in Columbus and Kraft in Beaver Dam. Darvin was a longtime member of Spring Prairie Lutheran Church (Keyeser), De Forest, WI.

Darvin is survived by brothers Richard (Susan) Gilbertson, David (Laurie Schroeder) Gilbertson, Ole Gilbertson, and sisters Judy (Raymond) Schallert and Brenda (Michael) Cullinan; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Jean; brother, Donald Gilbertson; sister-in-law, Diane Gilbertson; brother-in-law Paul Deich; and Bonnie Mae, who died in infancy.

In honoring Darvin's wishes, private family services will be held. If desired, memorials in Darvin's name may be directed to Spring Prairie Lutheran Church, N509 County Hwy C, De Forest, WI 53532.
