David "Dave", "Butch" or "Pops" L. Garczynski, age 74 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at his home.

Dave was born on August 10, 1936 to John and Lucille (nee Woodrick) Garczynski in Beaver Dam. He was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School and later served his country in the United States Army. Dave was united in marriage in 1963 to Rosemarie Kuhn at the former St. Michael's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. He was employed at Kirsh Foundry in Beaver Dam for several years before retiring in 2000. Dave loved fishing, especially bass fishing and he was an active member of Beaver Dam Bass Anglers and a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers. Spending time with his family was extremely important, especially his grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his wife, Rosemarie of Beaver Dam; his children, Julie (Joe) Vanden Acker of Neenah, Dave (Jeanette) Garczynski of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Anna Vanden Acker, Emily, David, and Lexi Garczynski and Gabi and Zach Clayton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, 11 brothers and 1 sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 1:00p.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 511 S. Spring St. in Beaver Dam. Visitation will take place prior to the Mass starting at 10:00a.m. at the Church. Burial will be at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery and a luncheon will follow the Mass at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Memorials may be directed to Wisconsin Bass Federation Youth.
