David A. Draheim, age 61 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

David was born on March 30, 1950 in Beaver Dam to Arnold and Virginia (nee Beneditz) Draheim. He graduated from Juneau High School in 1968 and was united in marriage to Donna Lininger on October 5, 1974 at St. Stephen's United Church of Christ in Juneau, WI. David worked at Robbins Manufacturing in Fall River for many years.

David was a loving man and cared deeply for his family. He was very supportive of anything his children needed and nothing brought him more joy than spoiling his grandchildren. He was involved in racing throughout Wisconsin and also was a baseball and softball umpire in Beaver Dam. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and teaching Hunter Safety classes. He was a member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ in Juneau, where he also served on the Church Council.

David is survived by his wife, Donna of Beaver Dam; his two sons, Doug (Sue) Draheim of Sussex and Tim (Nicole) Draheim of Beaver Dam; his grandchildren, Megan, Dylan and Ryan Draheim; his mother, Virginia Draheim of Beaver Dam; and his sister, Debbie (Gary) Matuszeski of Wisconsin Rapids. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Draheim, his father and mother-in-law, Carl (Betty) Lininger, his step-mother, Ruth Draheim and other relatives.

A Funeral Service for David will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the funeral home, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton with a luncheon to follow back at the funeral home.
