Obituary

"We remember their love when they can no longer remember."

David Casperson, age 79, lost his four-year battle with Dementia disease on December 26, 2021. He spent the whole week surrounded by loved ones.

David Henry Casperson was born in Stratford, Wisconsin on October 25, 1942, the son of Albert Casperson and Janet Biedel. David was an avid hunter, fisherman, hard worker, and a huge supporter of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Even though he battled with dementia he always had an intuition and was aware when hunting season began and when his teams' seasons were to start playing.

David was married to Theresa Casperson (Hughes) for 30 years. His selfless and wonderful wife dedicated the last few years to caring for David through his struggles with his health. She gave full support to her husband with his stroke and through his dementia journey. He will always be in her heart.

David is survived by his children: Daughter, Megan Casperson, held dear to his heart, the devotion she showed for caring for him on his roughest days through the stroke and dementia- she never hesitated because that's her dad. Son, Ronald Casperson, whom he had an amazing bond for years over fishing and hunting. Son, Dave Casperson Jr.

He is the proud grandfather of grandchildren: Debby Casperson, Dale Casperson, Deloris Casperson, Diana Casperson, David Casperson, Danielle Casperson. Darby Casperson, and Ryan Waupoose.

David is also survived by his siblings, Dean (Renee) Casperson whom he had a very close connection with. Dale (Joy) Casperson, Daniel (Kathy) Casperson, Dawn (Don) Lotharius, and Donna (John) Boese.

He was preceded in death by parents, Albert Casperson and Janet Casperson; brother, Douglas Casperson; daughter-in-law, Kim Casperson; and father-in-law, Joseph Hughes.

The family would like to show great appreciation and gratitude to the amazing staff at Clearview in Juneau, WI., and the in-home caretakers that went above and beyond for David.

In honoring Dave's wishes there will not be a formal memorial service.

Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam is honored to be serving the family.
