David "Dave" J. Knox, age 56, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at his home.
Dave was born at the Lutheran Hospital in Beaver Dam on August 23, 1956 to James and Gladys (nee Stotmiester) Knox. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1975, and then continued to Broadcasting School. Following school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Dave worked as a Correctional Officer at the Dodge County Correctional Facility in Waupun. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist, where he was very passionate about his faith. Dave enjoyed fishing and music. He was also a devoted father to his children, Jamie and Jonathan.
Dave is survived by his children, Jamie (Andrew) Stock of Beaver Dam and Jonathan Knox of Wautoma; his special little grandchild, Brennan; his mother, Gladys Knox of Beaver Dam; his sisters, Pat Knox of Beaver Dam and Sue (Butch) North of Randolph; the mother of his children, Brenda Knox of Wautoma; and former sister-in-law, Kelly (Brent) Kittelson of Beaver Dam. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James, and other relatives.
A Funeral Service for Dave will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam with Chaplain Dennis Richards officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at Cornerstone, beginning at 3:00 p.m. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service. Private family inurnment will take place at Stone Cemetery in Burnett at a later date.
