David Schwarze

David John Schwarze, age 90, of Beaver Dam, passed away on February 16, 2026, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Beaver Dam.

David was born in the family home on the Horicon Marsh on November 22, 1935, the son of Herman and Alice (Paronto) Schwarze. He was a farmer for many years and owned and operated his own farm outside of Mayville. A jokester at heart, he loved laughing and making others laugh. David was a hardworking man who enjoyed fixing things and spending time outdoors. While living in Wautoma, he cherished time spent cutting wood, feeding the deer, taking rides on the Gator with his dog Zeb, and doing snow removal with his bucket and loader. He loved helping his neighbors and they helped him tremendously, specifically on the farm and up north. This brought him so much joy.

David is survived by his children: John (Sally) Schwarze, Jeff (Mary) Schwarze, Julie (Dave) Smith, and Joyce (Dennis) Landsee; grandchildren: Jessica Krueger, Jason (Kristin) Krueger, Deena Landsee, Jerrad (Shannon Jarchow) Krueger, Tony (Dianna) Schwarze, Tim Schwarze, Johnny Schwarze Jr., Joline (Joe) Searvogel, Sarah Schmidt, Jennifer (Chad) Zickert, Bradley Schwarze, Christina (Trey) Mitchell, and Laura (Dakota) Tatum; many great-grandchildren; his beloved dog, Zeb; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Alice Schwarze; his brothers, Herman Schwarze, Ralph Schwarze, and Arthur Schwarze; his sister, Eunice Schwarze; and other relatives.

In honoring David’s wishes, private family services will be held.
