David "Dave" W. Maginnis, age 69 of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at home.

Visitation for Dave will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Ethan Larson officiating. Burial will take place at Marcellon Cemetery, Pardeeville.

Dave was born on October 18, 1946 in Portage, the son of the late Clifford and Leona (Beckius) Maginnis. He graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1965 and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army from August 1966 until August 1969. In 1974, he started his own businesses, Maginnis Construction and Dave's Salvage. Dave was a very hard worker, and he enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Dave is survived by his two daughters, Megan Maginnis of Wild Rose and Katie (Jeremy) Meyer of Plymouth, WI, other relatives and friends.
