Dean A. Schmidt, age 63 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

A memorial gathering for Dean will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m.

Dean was born on December 26, 1953 in Beaver Dam, the son of Dale and Ivy (Dickinson) Schmidt. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School and worked as a forklift operator at John Deere in Horicon for 30 years. Dean enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and took numerous trips throughout the United States. He was a member of Mayville Rod & Gun Club, and especially enjoyed pheasant hunting in South Dakota and watching the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.

Dean is survived by his father, Dale Schmidt of Beaver Dam; twin sisters, Christine (Clint) Harris and their son, Clinton Harris III of Warren, MI and Jennifer (Kevin) Schiffman and their children, Cody, Heather and Hunter of Roscoe, IL; his former wife, Marcy Schmidt and step-children, Scott and Nicole Geschke; his dog and faithful companion, Deuce; and further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and other relatives.
